Present time at Cebu City, Philippines
Official rainy season in the philippines.
Using temperature and rainfall as bases, the climate of the country can be divided into two major seasons: (1) the rainy season, from June to November; and (2) the dry season, from December to May.
I have lived in Moalboal for 20 years and the reality is different.
By the end of October our grass here is dry and brown because it's just hot all the time.
In november it starts to rain regularly, almost every day, even if the sun peeps through from time to time. at this time we also have the typhoons.
We usually have a bit of sun in the morning and then it rains again in the afternoon and at night. Sometimes it can be 10 cm of rain within a few hours.
(I recognise this because our swimming pool overflows and I have to drain the water regularly)
The temperatures on this time is around 25 degrees Celsius.
So by mid to late March it changes again, we have to water the lawn to keep it green, the temperatures rise again sometimes up to 38 degrees Celsius.
Towards August September we can no longer keep the grass green and it starts to dry out.
That's what it looks like in reality, so the weather here is just as crazy as anywhere else in the world.
Paradoxically, all the tourists come when it rains. In the beautiful sunny season we have a low season and almost no tourists. the prices are also cheaper then.
